eye tests
Our eye tests begin with a detailed discussion about your vision, lifestyle, and any concerns you may have, allowing our optometrists to understand your needs and tailor the test accordingly. The test then includes a comprehensive assessment of both the anterior (front) and posterior (back) segments of the eye, as well as a full prescription check.
- Anterior Segment Assessment: A careful examination of the front of your eyes, including your eyelids, cornea, and lens, to check for any signs of abnormalities or early eye conditions.
- Posterior Segment Assessment: Using advanced equipment, we examine the back of the eye, including the retina, optic nerve, and macula, to detect early signs of eye disease such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, or diabetic eye changes.
- Full Prescription Check: We measure your vision accurately to ensure that any glasses or contact lens prescription is fully up to date, helping you see as clearly and comfortably as possible.
➤ Adults: Every two years, or more frequently if your optician recommends it.
➤ Over 60s: Annual check-ups to keep track of age-related changes.
➤ Those with certain health conditions: Such as diabetes, or a family history of eye disease, should have their eyes tested once a year.

OCT SCAN
Using our advanced REVO OCT scanner, we can capture highly detailed, cross-sectional images of your eye in just a few seconds with no contact, no discomfort, and no need for drops in most cases. The scan produces a 3D image of the back of your eye, allowing your optometrist to examine the layers of the retina and optic nerve with incredible precision.
- Glaucoma – by measuring the thickness of the optic nerve fibres
- Macular degeneration – by showing changes to the macula
- Diabetic retinopathy – by revealing damage to the retinal blood vessels
- Retinal detachments and other abnormalities – through clear structural imaging
